Busy, busy, busy! I literally have hadsix days of non-stop exploring! My mom is in town for three weeks, andmy husband and I took a trip to a ski resort for a few days. The craziness startedwith a scenic railway tour with my brother and mom. This first day will be broken up into smaller posts.
We headed to Silver Plume, Colorado which was about a 1 hr and 45 min drive. This is one of the two depots that serves the Georgetown Loop Railroad. The train tour that we took was about 1 hr and 15 min long. They also have dinner tours and mine tours, but it was too late in the season to do either.
I was hoping for amazing Fall colors, but we were about a week or two late. It was still amazing scenery though and something fun to do that we’d never done before.
Mid-way they stop at another depot to pick-up more passengers, before they turn around and head back to the beginning.
Our next stops will be the town of Georgetown, Oh My God Road, and Central City! Check it out here!

That must have been such a relaxing day.
Wellllll….it was a relaxing train ride. Then we went to several other towns. Lots of sightseeing for a day. 🙂 More posts to come!
