Over the past few years, I have tried so hard to get my youngestson interested in photography. I’d wanted to teach him a few tips and tricks. Even though he has helped me on a few shoots, he has had no real interest in learning.
Well, now he is taking Photography in school (I’m sure as a blow off class!) and I assume he loves it. The other night I caught him heading out the front door with my husbands work boots and my back-up camera that I’m letting him borrow. What does a nosey mom do? Follows him of course! I asked him what he was up to and hesaid that he had an idea for an image. I loved that he was being creative! I ‘sort of’ asked if I could join him. I went and got my camera, tripod, and a telephoto lens.
Here are a few shots thatI took that night. They’re all handheld so that he could use the tripod. I was showing him howhe really needed one for slow shutter speeds:

And this is his cat (I mean DOG – he acts like a cat) watching him:

From the images that I’ve seen him capture so far, I think that he’s got a pretty good eye and maybe one day he will join the Carol Dunnigan Photography team!
